The Hydraforce 5614980P (5614980P) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting spool type hydraulic pressure reducing/relieving valve. It features an internal spring chamber drain and spool damping chamber, making it ideal for pressure regulation in secondary circuits. The valve allows bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 in its steady state, with the spring chamber constantly drained at port 3. Once a predetermined pressure is reached at port 1, the cartridge shifts to block flow at port 2, effectively regulating the pressure at port 1. Additionally, the valve can relieve port 1 to port 3 at a variable value over the set reducing pressure. Notable features include adjustments that cannot be backed out of the valve and springs that are prevented from going solid. It offers optional spring ranges up to 227.5 bar (3300 psi), and its hardened spool and cage ensure long-lasting durability. The valve's design accommodates an industry-common size, with an option for a protective screen rated at 60 mesh or 250 microns for additional safeguarding of port 2.
